Stories of discrimination and limitations are passed down from one generation to the next within most Dalit families in Nepal. With your help, we want to usher in experiences of joy, leadership, and power. Through access to good education and ample opportunities to learn new skills and communicate their potential to the world, there’s no stopping us.
Chairperson
Through conscious efforts, we will empower the Dalit community through impact-driven educational trainings and programs.
We believe that children, girls or women from any caste or class reserve the power to be leaders and access to education and opportunities ensure their potential to achieve whatever they want.
Create a safe and accessible space for the Dalit community for creative learning and explore opportunities to achieve their highest potential.
We believe in honor and respect for every human being and a world of social justice based on equality, liberty and justice.
We are aware that the Dalit community everywhere deserves better and it is crucial to work with them to support them in realizing their highest and truest potential.
We acknowledge that for Dalit community to thrive, existing problems and issues within the Nepali society needs to be viewed and solved more openly and with innovation.
We believe that building connections among the Dalit community and organizations working to deliver tools of learning to the Dalit community are important and mutual support and understanding will provide a leap forward in the society.
Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world and the most effective way to break out of the cycle of poverty. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn.
The Lead Nepal believes that the Dalit community needs skills in their hands, then they can open their job opportunities themselves. They wouldn’t have to wait for the industries to come to their village and hometowns. Nepal is getting developed.
Women living in a patriarchal society have suffered a lot. The suffering only doubles when it comes to Dalit women. In earlier centuries, they were treated as almost non-existent. As if all the rights belonged to men even something as basic as voting.
Keeping our surroundings neat and clean contributes to one’s health and while it may seem like an obvious right, access to it is a more complicated issue. Health is well in terms of physical, social as well as mental aspects of a person.
Community development programs empower each individual to a group of people living in a community. In the case of the Dalit community, people are less educated, unknown about social well-being, and lack of employment and other life skill.
